Every child deserves the opportunity to imagine, create, and realize their full potential through the arts! Like many nonprofit arts organizations across the country, Arts for Learning WNY, is facing unprecedented funding cuts and uncertainty that directly impacts our ability to educate, connect, and inspire children.
The recent federal budget proposal calls for the elimination of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and similar agencies. In response, active grants have been rescinded, promised funding has been pulled, and vital cultural programs are in jeopardy.
Our ability to bring high-quality, arts-integrated programs into local classrooms is directly threatened. That means fewer opportunities for students to experience the creative, inspiring, and transformative power of the arts, especially in under-resourced schools and communities. We know the arts aren’t just “nice to have” - they’re essential! They help students learn, express themselves, build confidence, and connect with others. They open doors and change lives.
