By supporting the Great Buffalo Sport Hall of Fame, donors not only demonstrate their connection to the history of athletic achievements in Western New York, but they also ensure the future legacy of athletic achievement in our region through the Amateur Sports Development Fund (ASDF).
Proceeds from the Annual Induction Dinner benefit deserving WNY athletes, teams and organizations. Since its inception, the ASDF has awarded $285,000 to 205 local organizations and individuals. The ASDF is our way to give back to the community and to help our area athletes, groups and teams reach their full potential in their athletic endeavors,” said President Gene Kershner. “The Board is entirely volunteer, and we self-fund our operating expenses, so no administrative dollars are spent on our fundraising efforts. That way, every dollar of profit raised from donors, sponsors and attendees of the induction ceremony is granted through the ASDF.”
The GBSHOF is on display at Dave and Adam's Card World, located at 8075 Sheridan Drive in Williamsville, NY. This location provides the general public the opportunity to view memorabilia from all previous inductees during Dave and Adam's normal business hours.
We provide tribute and honor to the outstanding athletes who participate in sports in the Greater Buffalo Area. Through our annual induction ceremony we support amateur sports development locally by providing grants to those in need of financial support.
