We are excited to participate in this year's Give 716. Fundraising will begin at 7:16 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15 and will run through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16.

The goal of Give 716 is simple: to unite Sabres and Bills fans with the Western New York Community in an epic day of giving! Nonprofits deliver for our community every day, so let's come together as one team, for one day, and become a symbol of generosity not only for our local community, but for the world. Give 716 will bring together individuals, groups and businesses in support of any nonprofit headquartered or providing services in one of eight counties to include Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming, Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua.

Our Mission

Haircuts For Those In Need Inc., established in 2018, travels throughout WNY aiming to uplift individuals enduring financial hardship or homelessness by providing them with a free haircut. Recognizing the transformative power of a haircut, we strive to make our guests look good, feel good, and be open to endless opportunities.

Why We Are Needed

1. Building Confidence and Self-Esteem: A new haircut can instill feelings of pride and self-worth, which are vital for personal growth and mental wellness.
2. Accessing Opportunities: A polished appearance can play a crucial role in social interactions, job interviews, and education pursuits. Sadly, in our society people can be cruel to someone who looks unkempt. A fresh haircut brings back dignity and better treatment.
3. Standing with the Community: By helping our neighbors look their best, we create a culture of care and support in Western New York. We travel to the hardest-hit shelters and food pantries on Buffalo's Westside, Eastside, Southside, and Niagara Falls to provide free haircuts.
4. Financial Struggles: If someone is struggling to pay their bills, a haircut is the last thing they will spend money on. With us, we can relieve that stress by providing free haircutting services!

Our Purpose

1. Providing Haircuts to Those in Need: We give free haircuts to individuals facing economic struggles or homelessness. We currently give 60-100 free haircuts every month.
2. Acquiring Essential Supplies: We're dedicated to raising funds for overhead costs; including insurance, website costs, general supplies, and haircutting tools.
3. Saving for a mobile haircutting & shower trailer: Our vision includes a trailer fully equipped like a salon to expand our outreach and serve more communities. With this, we will be able to provide hair washing services and have a shower on board for our guests to use, enhancing physical well-being and mental health.
