Family and youth services - The VCA provides young children from 6 weeks - 4 years old with nurturing day care. Our school-aged children receive free homework tutoring, additional math and reading after school study facilities, a virtual learning hub, social and emotional support, sports and recreation activities, and a food pantry. Senior citizens are engaged in programming that promotes socialization, education, and recreation.
The VCA also promotes cultural and community heritage by organizing the Old Neighborhood St. Patrick's Day Parade for the past 30 years.
Donations will support the programs for all ages and ensure that they can continue and expand as the need is great.
The Valley Community Association is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of the residents of the Buffalo River community by meeting individual and family needs and promoting environmental beautification and stewardship. Advocating a strong sense of empowerment and ownership, our committed staff and volunteers serve infants through older adults with health-related, educational, economic, social, recreational, and community development opportunities.
