WNYHeroes primary focus or mission is to provide financial support to Veterans and their families for up to 4 months Rent, Mortgage, Utilities, Food. Based of off of personal experiences of our President/Co-Founder after returning home from Iraq in 2004 is how each current program was developed. Chris was sent to a poly-trauma brain center in Richmond VA where he spent the next 5weeks undergoing much needed treatment. It was while he was there, conversing with other Veterans that he realized his journey was not alone. Chris heard about other Veterans returning home, loosing everything and becoming homeless. It was at that time that Chris knew he wanted to do something and keep it local. Shortly after returning home he was contacted by a woman who had been following him in the media. Long story short, Chris met with her and WNYHeroes was developed with the intentions to change Veterans lives forever. To date, WNYHeroes now has several programs to assist Veterans such as:

Heroes Bridge- Financial Assistance for back Mortgage, Rent, Utilities and Food

Pawsitive for Heroes- Providing much needed service dogs for medical reasons. All Veterans MUST be medically referred to the program

OperationBOOTS- Peer to Peer Support program that provides emotional, mental support while preventing suicide

Backpack Program- Providing new backpack and school supplies to those still in school- School supplies can be costly, so we like to help cut those costs for Veterans

Adopt-A-Hero- Holiday Assistance, Chris knew the humiliation of not being able to provide a Christmas for his kids and wants to make sure no Veteran has to experience that

William Kramp Scholarship Fund- Providing three (3) scholarships a year to Veterans or immediate family members attending college

Little Heroes- Providing financial assistance with extracurricular activities (Hockey, Swimming, Tennis, Baseball, Horseback Ridding Etc..) to ensure children of military are given the same opportunities to excel

Our mission: WNYHeroes is to provide Veterans, members of the armed services, widows and children of deceased veterans with access to essential services, financial assistance and resources that support their lives while sustaining their dignity.
