We know how many senior dogs end up in shelters due to their owners passing on or going into assisted living and nursing homes. These pups do not do well in shelters and are often overlooked for adoption in favor of younger dogs and puppies. But they still have lots of love to give! But we will also be a resource for humans because we know the therapeutic value of a relationship with a dog. So we will be working with humans as well - kids with learning disabilities; people with mental health issues; veterans finding civilian life a challenge; disabled folks - you name it!
The mission of White Whiskers is to ensure the well-being of senior dogs by providing loving adoptions, a caring and compassionate option to live out their years, and to offer companionship for humans who will benefit from the special love that only dogs can provide.
