Bread Of Life Outreach Of Colden New York

The Bread of Life Outreach center is an all-volunteer organization that began in 2009. We support a food pantry serving the towns of Aurora, Boston, Colden, Concord, Holland & parts of Sardinia as well as a thrift store (Gabe's on the Hill) open to the public. We rely solely on donations, grants, and volunteers to support our mission. Our food pantry offers a unique shopping experience for our members, keeping their dignity at the top of our goals. Most pantries hand a bag of food to their clients, not us! We are set up like a grocery store allowing our members to shop in a store-like setting and giving them the opportunity to choose foods that are best for their individual needs. The pantry is what we are all about and we are so impressed by what it has grown into.

We are a member of FeedMore WNY and partner with them to offer the Mobile Food Pantry providing shelf stable and perishable food products each month (November & December excluded) and open to all area residents without restrictions. We partner with Providence Farm Collective to offer fresh produce options in the Food Pantry.

In 2023 we compassionately provided the following to families in need: provided 37,062 meals, served 4,118 individuals, 6470 Mobile Food Pantry visits, 60 filled Backpacks for school age children, 45 coats, boots, hats and mittens, 73 Easter meals (152 individuals), 95Thanksgiving meals (203 individuals), 75 Christmas meals (236 individuals), 297 Christmas gifts, and $13,760 in clothing allowances for Gabe's on the Hill.

We also offer an outside emergency food cupboard, Little Library, annual health fair, case worker, student volunteer hours, education and recreational programs.

Since we are a dedicated all-volunteer donation based organization, all funds donated will be used towards the food pantry, thrift store, programming, and maintaining our facilities for those who utilize our services.
