A new direction for a better life.
At Compass House, we provide a safe haven and vital support services for youth ages 12-24 who are experiencing homelessness or crisis. Our 13-bed Emergency Shelter is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — always free, always voluntary. Each young person who walks through our doors is paired with a dedicated case manager to help them navigate challenges and work toward stability and success.
Through our Safe Place program, youth in need can quickly access help at any Tops Market or on NFTA buses across Erie County — making safety and support never more than a few steps or a ride away.
Between our Emergency Shelter and Resource Center, Compass House serves more than 700 youth every year, offering hope, guidance, and a path forward when it’s needed most.
The mission of Compass House is to provide safe shelter and services for runaway and homeless youth in an atmosphere supporting the dignity, respect and self-sufficiency of each youth.
