Breaking barriers, healing minds, transforming lives.
Spectrum Health and Human Services’ mission is to respectfully partner with adults, children, and families as they recover from behavioral, emotional, mental health, and/or substance abuse-related disorders; and to promote hope, empowerment and self-defined improvements in their quality of life.
We live our agency core values in everything we do for our clients and for our staff as a team. Our core values – accountability, empowerment, diversity, ethics, excellence, and respect – are apparent in the innovative programs we develop and our collaborations with other like-minded agencies
Spectrum Health counseling centers are Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHC), a special provider type in Medicaid, designed to provide a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use disorder services to vulnerable individuals. Our podcast - Spectrum Health Journey - offers a comfortable way to talk about behavioral health issues to help break the stigma about mental health. We host an annual community event - Not One More: Stand Together to End Overdose - to remember lives that were lost and connect people with community resources. It's free, open to everyone, and includes music, too. Our Buffalo Hope COMHPS team is in the community every day teaching people about coping strategies and how to embrace wellness habits.
Our team finds challenge and reward in working together to make our community and society a better, healthier place.
