Where Arts + Nature + Culture Fuse into an Unforgettable Experience
While so many know Artpark for our Amphitheater and Mainstage theater concerts, Artpark is primarily a cultural institution committed to all types of performing and visual art. It is part of our mission to showcase and support all cultures and art by bringing artists to Western New York who would not have a chance otherwise. Following this vision, Artpark currently features two diverse cultural festivals each year with the Artpark Strawberry Moon Festival, honoring Indigenous culture every June, and the Artpark Fairy House Festival in July, celebrating cultures all throughout Europe and Asia.
Now in its 13th year, the 2023 Artpark Fairy House Festival welcomes visitors of all ages to marvel at and celebrate Ukrainian culture, from its ancient traditions to its vibrant modern art. This year the festival will be directed by Vlad Troitskyi, a theater director from Kyiv, Ukraine, the founder of the CCA Dakh Theater and GogolFest, and the founder of the DakhaBrakha band. Vlad will work with 20 local actors and artists on creating a Ukrainian-inspired celebration costumed by Uta Bekaia and installations by Bethany Krull inspired by the art of Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko.
Your support today will further Artpark’s mission of fostering a transformative world of artistic engagement by exploring the human experience, cultivating creativity, and encouraging curiosity. You help Artpark give people a voice and allow them to be heard! We hope that you will support our greater mission today, or join us on July 15th in celebration of the 2023 Artpark Fairy House Festival.
