The Voice of Domestic Violence Survivors in Western New York!
Touched personally by the trauma of Domestic Violence, abuse and assault, Co-Founders Sabrina Blando and Janice Cavaretta formed Blossom in NY, INC, to be an advocate and a voice for Domestic violence Survivors while helping them build a strong foundation for a successful future. Their mission is to impact the lives of women and families affected by domestic violence building the bridge between being stuck, getting out and believing in a future free from violence. “We formed Blossom in NY, to provide women the support they need to be successful and reassure them that they are brave, courageous, and good enough to flourish”. We believe that we need to take action to stop the stigma of abusive shame and provide realistic resources to affect change.
Surviving a 13-year cycle of a physical, mental, emotional and abusive relationship, Sabrina is finally experiencing the joys of what a life free from abuse should be. She wants all to know that despite a long journey, she is a survivor, growing every day and has made the changes in her life to succeed and so can others.
Both Sabrina and Janice want to be advocates for domestic violence survivors, impacting the lives of others in the community and being the difference maker in the lives of many women struggling for a future free from the hurt of domestic abuse. We look forward to becoming advocates bringing government officials, the legal community, and law enforcement together as one voice to change the future.
