The Belle Center

Out of school time program: The out of school time program is licensed for 178 children through NYS Office of Child and Family Services and serves grades k-8. We are dedicated to providing a safe environment that fosters creativity in all the children that attend the program. We provide a variety of comprehensive services for our students, including arts & humanities, character development, health and fitness, homework support, literacy, science and technology, service learning, social skills and conflict resolution.

The Belle Center promotes the well-being of older individuals as well by providing services and a variety of programs that inspire socialization, independence and a community life. Our senior programs offer regular activities such as: arts & crafts, bingo, field trips, weekday lunch program, exercise classes, workshops, cooking class and much more. 

We have learned through research that older adults who participate in such programs like ours can learn to manage or delay the onset of different chronic illnesses and disorders to experience measurable improvements in their mental, physical, social and emotional well being.   

The Belle Center is constantly striving to meet the desires and needs of our Lower West Side children, adult and senior citizen population.
