Shadows Veterinarian Relief Trust

Our pets provide us with unconditional love and companionship in our lives. To so many animal owners, their pets mean the world to them, and their pets are a big part of the family. When their pets become ill, it can be heartbroken when animal owners cannot afford the essential veterinary services to save their pet.

This is where Shadow’s Veterinarian Relief Trust steps in to provide the necessary financial assistance to the animal owners that would mean the difference between life or death to the pet. No animal needs to be put down because an owner cannot afford veterinary care.

Since starting our trust in April 2020, we have provided financial assistance for 26 dogs, 21 cats and 1 rabbit. A total of 48 animals that we have helped to date.

The Shadows Veterinarian Relief Trust is asking for your support to help continue making a difference in the lives of pet owners in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.

Dr. Rappole and all the staff at Moonbrook Veterinary Hospital

I’m writing to thank the Shadow Fund and veterinarian team at Moonbrook Vet Clinic for saving my cat Odin’s life. Though only 5 years old, Odin suffered from chronic cystitis and recurrent crystals in his bladder. The situation became so critical that a life-saving operation was necessary. The surgery cost was beyond my ability to pay as I am retired and live on a limited budget now. That’s when the Shadow Fund stepped in to pick up most of the cost. Odin had a rough time of it, but he is now recovering well and has a good prognosis. I am forever grateful to the fund, to Drs. Rappole and Brown and the wonderful staff for saving his life.

After a few days of being ill, I took Daisy to Moonbrook Vet for an evaluation. She was diagnosed with a blockage of her pancreas that required surgery. I am on a fixed income and the trust helped pay for Daisy’s medical bills. This was a huge relief to me.
