Compassionate 24 hour end-of-life care when home is not an option.
The vision for the Sloan Comfort Care Home began in 2015, with a small group of committed people who wanted to address the gap in care available to those at end-of-life in Erie County. Comfort Care Homes across the country provide free, compassionate care in a homelike setting to people with terminal illness. In 2019, the first Comfort Care Home in Erie County became a reality. Since then, we have supported over 76 guests and their loved ones at end-of-life.
Our link with the healthcare system is with the certified home care agency that you and your loved ones choose to provide hospice care. Our goal is to relieve the family of major caregiving responsibilities, enabling them to spend more quality time with their loved one.
We provide compassionate 24 hour end-of-life care to our guests in the only Erie County comfort care home.
Over 76 guests and their loved ones have stayed with us since 2020.
With your support, we can continue to ensure that community members have a home to spend their final days in dignity and comfort.
Your donation will help us continue to welcome guests, as we do not receive money from insurance or government sources!
We know there are many charities to choose from, and we are grateful to you for choosing to support Sloan Comfort Care Home.
By making a simple donation of any amount, you are helping make a difference in someone's life.
