Proven Methods. Positive Results. Better Lives.
At The Summit Center, we know autism.
The Summit Center offers a range of programs to support children, adults, and families navigating the complex challenges of autism spectrum disorder. Summit Academy provides a 12-month school experience, with special education teachers, speech therapists, adaptive physical education instructors, and other professionals serving 350 students ages 3 to 21. Our intensive Early Autism Program, community-based day hab, respite care, vocational training, and employment programs help people achieve their full potential.
Donations made on Give 716 Day will help support construction of a new courtyard at Summit Academy's Creekside location in Amherst. The courtyard will provide a space where students can build upon motor, communication, and social skills while enjoying the outdoors.
Your gift will fund an area for gardening, an amphitheater, shade sails, seating, outdoor artwork, and more. The courtyard will be a gathering place for students to engage with each other, enjoy outdoor concerts, participate in group fitness activities, and work on independence skills.
Guided by evidence-based practice, we maximize life success for people facing developmental, social, and behavioral challenges. Our methodology is based on applied behavior analysis therapy which has been identified by hundreds of scientific studies as the most effective method to teach individuals with autism.
We are dedicated to helping every individual achieve the highest level of personal independence.
