Universal Possibilities

Universal Possibilities wishes to fulfill a basic need. There exists a shortage of housing options for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). They need housing in appropriately sized community-centered spaces along with possibilities for socialization and inclusion. They deserve respect and dignity, including a living environment where they can live, learn and thrive.

Our goal is to provide innovative housing for individuals with I/DD in the East Aurora area with a strong emphasis on socialization and wellness. Included with our apartment community will be our Wellness Program. We plan to include a lounge area for socialization, a communal kitchen for cooking classes and nutrition education, a flex space that can be used for multiple events including educational programs, and a fitness center. This Wellness Program will allow residents to learn skills for self-direction and give them the ability to advocate for help with their needs.

Universal Possibilities is comprised of three directors, Ruth Kartalis, Deborah Flynn and Nicholas Kartalis. Their resumes include extensive business leadership and educational experience as well as experience with I/DD individuals.
