The grief process after the death of a baby can be a long and lonely journey. By working closely with the labor and delivery hospitals in Western New York, WNYPBN ensures a standard of care during and after a perinatal loss. WNYPBN offers support programs for bereaved parents, grandparents, siblings, and professionals. We offer many services and programs.
Wings of Love Memorial Fund - Helping families with financial assistance for the cremation/burial of their baby.
Walk to Remember - The October event allows families to come together with other parents, and features a memorial service, memory walk, and family picnic. October 13, 2024 at the Cheektowaga Town Park.
Tiniest Angels Support Group - In-person & Virtual bereavement peer support groups are offered to those who have experienced the loss of a baby.
Sibling Care Program - Each family with surviving children is provided a book to help explain the loss of their baby sibling as well as a stuffed animal. Information is provided to parents concerning what to expect for grief during the various ages of childhood. Specific Sibling events and activities are available throughout the year.
Forget -Me-Not-Newsletter - The quarterly newsletter is written for and by families who have experienced the loss of a child.
Heartbeat Bears, Memory Boxes, Healing Journals & Angel Gowns - Memory-making items that we provide to families and hospitals free of charge.
Elegant Evening to Remember Gala - Yearly event held to recognize Doctors, Nurses & Volunteers who do so much for the perinatal bereaved community. This event features high-end raffles, a silent auction, a dinner reception, an award ceremony, and more.
Professional Education - WNYPBN provides hospital and community-based in-service education on perinatal loss and grief throughout the year.
