Awesome Paws Rescue

Awesome Paws Rescue is a volunteer-based, no-kill rescue focused on saving dogs at risk of euthanasia in overcrowded Southern shelters. We coordinate and transport dogs from various southern states and bring them to Buffalo, where the dogs stay with foster families until they are adopted. Because we are a foster based organization, there is no shelter you can visit to see all the adoptable dogs. All of our rescues are getting reacquainted to “home life”, where they can receive individual attention and their personalities are given a chance to truly shine. Through fostering we are able to provide a more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for the dogs to learn new tricks and remember what it feels like to be loved once again if not for the first time ever!

Awesome Paws Rescue is an all breed foster-based dog rescue in the Buffalo, NY area whose focus is rescuing shelter dogs at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding. We coordinate and transport dogs from various southern states along with local shelters and bring them to Buffalo, where the dogs stay with foster families until they are adopted. Because we are a foster based organization, this allows all of our dogs the ability to get reacquainted to “home life” and allows them to receive individual attention in a comfortable and relaxed environment to help let their personalities shine! 

Awesome Paws Rescue has also created a Spay/Neuter Program with our partner Shelter- Braxton County Animal Shelter. This program allows locals in the area the chance to spay/neuter their dogs if unable to afford it. Which in turn helps us in slowing down the overpopulation of unwanted litters.
