At 5 Loaves Farm, we believe that small offerings can create big change. Inspired by the story of a boy who shared five loaves of bread to feed a hungry crowd, we’ve built a farm—and a youth program—around that same spirit of generosity and transformation.
Our youth internship program provides meaningful, paid work to teens from our neighborhood. Through hands-on farming, they gain job skills, mentorship, and a sense of purpose—while growing food for their own community.
This year, we’re rallying support to raise $4,000 during Give716 to employ two outstanding youth interns—young people who’ve already shown commitment and growth through previous seasons with us. With county funding cut for the summer, we’re turning to our community to help us keep this opportunity alive.
During the 24-hour Give716 event (July 15–16), your donation—made through our specific link—can be matched or even doubled through special incentives from the Bills and Sabres Foundations.
Together, we can plant seeds that grow far beyond the garden.
Join us in supporting the future.
5 Loaves Farm is a community hub on Buffalo’s West Side, using once-vacant properties as a living classroom where we provide jobs for local youth, spiritual nourishment to our neighbors, and access to healthy, sustainably grown food.
