Clean Air Coalition Of Western New York Inc

Clean Air was founded in 2007 by residents concerned about the environmental health in their neighborhoods.They demanded an active role in the decisions that impacted their communities. Today, we organize in multiple communities around environmental health and justice issues. We make this region a healthier and more equitable place to live by developing grassroots leadership among working class people and people of color. Campaigns are member led, building shared interests to advance equity and community well-being through collective action. For example, Clean Air’s work led to a 92% reduction in the carcinogen benzene in the air in Tonawanda, NY. 

The Clean Air Coalition builds power by developing grassroots leaders who organize their communities to run and win environmental justice and public health campaigns in Western New York.
