Kenan Center believes that every member of our community deserves equitable access to high-quality programming in arts, recreation, and education. 

For the 10.2 million young Americans engaged in after-school programming, the moments between the school bell and bedtime are the most crucial in their development. The social emotional development of young people centers on finding their creative voice, learning to work with others, building self-confidence, and empowering their body and mind. At Kenan, we provide that opportunity to members of our community through Kenan ACRES (Arts, Culture, Recreation, Education, and Sports), encompassing 30+ programs, and serving over 2,000 students annually.

A true community center, Kenan hosts over 250 days of programming throughout the year, serving 100,000 visitors to their 25-acre campus. Events include our youth programming, community festivals, concerts, theatre productions, a professional art-gallery, adult athletic leagues, and over 20-acres of walkable green space.

Your donation through Give 716 helps Kenan support WNY’s population by:  

• Providing free/low-cost programming for residents in need.
• Maintaining safe, accessible green spaces for youth to play outdoors, as well as recreational, indoor spaces.
• Uplifting access to the arts, including one of Niagara County’s largest free outdoor music festivals and free professional art galleries.
• Providing adult educational programming that uplifts and engages vulnerable populations.

Mission

Kenan Center enriches lives by providing the community with high quality cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities. The Kenan is the heart of the community, attracting passionate people who utilize our campus to learn, engage others, expand their creativity, and to better understand the world around them. Kenan Center serves the WNY community by providing accessible programs and events for all ages. Kenan serves a tri-county region on a daily basis - Niagara, Erie, and Orleans.

The Kenan Center Campus in Lockport, NY is home to the Kenan House Gallery, Kenan Arena, Taylor Theater, Kenan Montessori School and Kenan Gardens. The 25 acre campus provides year-round arts, education and recreational opportunities to people of all ages and backgrounds.
