We sew to provide comfort for vulnerable people especially children and families.
Pete's Pillows was created by Karen Overhoff in memory of Pete, who was lost to serious illness. When he was in the hospital, she made soft, colorful pillowcases to brighten his hospital room. After seeing the joy it brought to him, she decided we could do the same for others who were dealing with stressful circumstances. The effort has expanded to other items and many organizations.
We make soft goods (ex. pillowcases, snuggle creatures, and mommy-scented hearts) to help comfort people in trying circumstances. Places we supply include Ronald McDonald House and its family room at Oshei Children's Hospital, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, the NICU at Sister's Hospital, and Gerard Place. Our founder feels that "No matter what happened today, when you put your head on a pillowcase you are surrounded by love." We are all volunteers. Any cash donations will be used to purchase fabric and other supplies to use for our projects.
