My BUR journey started as a social media supporter, liking and sharing a post here and there. Then the picture of the cutest paint splatter faced pup came up in my newsfeed, and it was love at first site. Next thing we knew we were new puppy parents, then I started volunteering, then fostering, helping out with events - and eventually became a board member. One little social media post really can change your entire life!

The Underdog family is the most incredible rescue family I could ever imagine being a part of. The dogs ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS come first. The dogs that need us most. That have been neglected and abused, overlooked and passed up time and time again at the shelter. The HW+ mama dogs. The throw away pitties that need multiple surgeries to save their leg. The litter of puppies that break with parvo in the van on the way to Buffalo and need to be checked in to an emergency vet in the middle of Ohio on a Sunday morning!

Almost 1800 Underdogs have been saved, and not a single one could have been saved without the kind and generous hearts like yours supporting them. We ask you to help us continue to save the Underdogs that need us most. Let’s make Give716 2025 the best fundraiser yet!

We are excited to participate in this year's Give 716. Fundraising will begin at 7:16 p.m. on Monday, July 15 and will run through 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16.

The goal of Give 716 is simple: to unite Sabres and Bills fans with the Western New York Community in an epic day of giving! Nonprofits deliver for our community every day, so let's come together as one team, for one day, and become a symbol of generosity not only for our local community, but for the world. Give 716 will bring together individuals, groups and businesses in support of any nonprofit headquartered or providing services in one of eight counties to include Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming, Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua.
