OUR STORY

Founded in 2015, the Resource Council of WNY, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, located in the historic Masten District neighborhood on the East Side of Buffalo. In recent years, the community center has grown to become a pillar of hope, healing and support to thousands of youth, adults and families on an annual basis.

Our doors are open 6 days a week with access to various programs and services, including an afterschool program, two summer camps, sports and recreation clinics, youth workforce development programs, adult health, wellness and fitness classes, food and basic needs assistance, a college learning lab, family support and crisis services, and learn-to-swim clinics for youth, adults and seniors in our indoor pool.

The mission of the Resource Council of WNY aims to empower and enrich the lives of youth, adults and families by providing access to vital programs and services that meet the diverse needs and values of the communities we serve.

Our overarching vision is to improve the quality-of-life for individuals and families through programming dedicated to education, sports and recreation, health and wellness, food insecurity, advocacy, partnerships and family support services.

Located in the historic Masten District neighborhood on the East Side of Buffalo, our center has become an essential community hub and safe-haven to thousands of youth, families and seniors.
